INTRONICS Rapid Heating Digestion Oven began over 20 years ago as a project for a client who required an extrememly rapid heating oven. However such an oven had not yet even been designed at the time and to this day this technology used for this oven has not been replicated or surpassed.
INTRONICS RAPID HEATING DIGESTION BOMB OVEN
The oven heats 6 “bombs” in aluminium heating blocks. The heating blocks are mounted on a rotor that rotates at 20 rpm to ensure sample is constantly mixed. The digestion block temperature and bomb internal temperature of each individual bomb is measured and individually controlled. Heating is via 4 x 600W cartridge heaters.
Controller is a microprocessor controlled unit with a 16 bit analog to digital converter.
INTRONICS RAPID HEATING 45 mL RAPID HEATING DISGESTION BOMB OVEN
This is a special version of the 6 bomb oven above. For those laboratories that need more bombs and smaller. The rotor has 12 or 16 sample containers of 45 to 50 mL sample volume mounted on a thick aluminium disc. The disc is rotated at 20rpm or variable speed accoring to customer requirements. Each bomb is heated by 2 x 300W cartridge heaters. The temperature of a representitive "bomb" is monitored as well as the heating jacket. As a check, a diagonally opposite heating jacket is monitored. Due to the mounting of all heating jackets on a thick aluminium rotor, all bombs are heated evenly. Faulty heaters are detected by detecting current of 3 or 4 banks of heaters.
